Kigali to host 5th Aviation Stakeholders Convention in May

Come May 7-9 2016, the 5th Aviation stakeholder convention   will kick off at Kigali Serena hotel in Rwanda. The Convention is aimed at creating a sustainable network chain in supply and air management giving way to competitive opportunities in the aviation business in across the continent. The convention organizers the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) in partnership Rwanda with RwandAir confirmed the event through a press briefing at Kigali international Airport on 10th march 2016 spear headed by Dr Elijah Chingosho the secretary general of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), who was quoted saying that “delegates from over 45 countries across the globe will take part in the conference that will be held at the Kigali Serena Hotel.

In many travel occasions, several travelers miss Rwanda’s beautiful capital to go gorilla tracking, relax by lake kivu or even head out to see the wild chimpanzees in Nyungwe or wild animals in Akagera National park. At most trips in Rwanda give Kigali half a day especially to explore the Genocide sites yet it deserves more than that. Apart from the dark thousand hills past, Kigali has a lot to offer in Africa when it comes to travel fun and excitement. It is extremely safe, clean and green, extensive over stunning hills which add to the city’s appealing beauty and nothing can beat the incredible views of the green hills and the quietude that you one experience while here.

The hills also gave Rwanda a new name “the land of thousand hills, the reason for the growing tourist numbers every year. However, an initiative of AFRAA, the 5th Aviation Stakeholders Convention will be convened under the theme: “Winning Together Through Innovation and Collaboration”, and will be co-hosted by RwandAir. The national carrier and also the official carrier of the event. Dr. Chingosho still said that “The conference will provide a platform for users and suppliers of aviation products, solutions and services to showcase new developments and innovations, discuss industry trends, network and forge beneficial partnerships,”.

In history, the event will be held in Kigali for the first time providing exceptional products, exhibition and business opportunity for industry partners and suppliers of equipment, components, solutions and services, according to organizers. RwandAir added that the conference has come at a time when the aviation is going through first-time growth in both passenger and cargo, spurred by huge economic growth and investments in many African countries. On the other hand the national carrier elaborated the convention stakeholder intentions as quoted: “The continent’s airlines are positioning themselves to take advantage of these growth opportunities, with some modernizing their fleet and investing in capacity and infrastructure development. There is also a keen interest by investors (both local and international) in setting up new airlines in some countries.”

The win –win business interaction between aviation stakeholders will unit operators and support service providers together for further prosperity in Africa aviation.The convention has attracted attention of many thousand stake holders across the world even  aviation bodies gave their opinion about the conference. According to the continental aviation body, the Aviation Stakeholders Convention aims to foster dialogue, build sustainable networks in supply chain management, create a competitive environment for business and improve the aviation support base in Africa.

The CEO for RwandAir just confirmed the event by promising the world that the forthcoming conference is a very big vote of confidence in Rwanda. “It means that Rwanda has become an important player in Africa’s aviation industry,” he said, adding that Kigali will play host to this event because RwandAir has stamped its mark on Africa’s aviation industry. As Rwanda hosts the event, the country will get a grand opportunity to introduce its business opportunities, tourist attraction opening doors for more delegates to engage in different Rwanda safari tours especially culture, wildlife and Rwanda primate holidays.
